THE 5 CLASSIC ROMANTIC MOVIES YOU MUST NOT WATCH THIS VALENTINES DAY.

Aha, one of the biggest, sweetest yet most dreaded day for some folks is around the corner. February 14 is usually a do or die affair for a lot of couples in Nigeria, and tomorrows own is without exception too.

What are your plans? Do you intend taking your partner out for a treat? Notice i used the word PARTNER,and that was deliberate, because it doesn't only bode on the man to be the one in charge of coming up with plans on how to make that day worth while. ...lol...i can see some ladies already squeezing their face with a look of contempt at what i just wrote. oh well, this is the new age ladies, so get with the program.  But i know some folks would decide to stick to the old age routine of probably having a  romantic sit in at home, environment all mellowed down, bottle of wine in the fridge all ready to be sipped at a moment's notice. And then, a box of chocolates would be wrapped up in a corner somewhere, hidden away from view while the two of you lay in bed, eyes glued to the TV about to watch a classic romantic movie. If that's going to be your situation tomorrow, then i would strongly suggest not watching the following 5 movies. ENJOY.

  1. TITANIC
Titanic End scene
Despite the fact that it stars your favourite actors-Leonard DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, it’s still not one you want to see on Valentine’s Day, unless you are ready for a three-hour sinking ship of sadness and tears.

 2. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

Without doubt one of the most emotional movies ever, “The Fault in our Stars” is based on the novel by John Green.

While we loved watching Hazel and Augustus fall in love with each other after meeting at a cancer support group, it’s not one we would ‘happily’ watch on a Valentine’s weekend.

3. PS : I LOVE YOU.

Nobody wants to watch the story of a young widow who receives posthumous letters of encouragement from her late husband after he dies of a brain tumor, on a Valentine’s day.

At least not when you can focus on perfect romantic Nollywood and Bollywood classics.

4.DEAR JOHN

An adaptation of Nicholas Spark’s book, the movie tells the heart-wrenching story of two young people who fail to find happiness together. That’s definitely not the kind of movie you would trap yourself at home for on a Valentine weekend.

5. THE NOTEBOOK

Except you got a heart of stone , but this is one movie to definitely get you crying at the end of the day.Though it's quite blissful to see love last through the ages but it's terrible that the love of your life doesn't even realises who you are to them anymore.
