Last night the hip-hop mogul was hauled into custody at the University of California in Los Angeles where his son is on the football team. Diddy, 45, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police said that the rapper used a kettlebell, which is used by athletes in weight training.Combs' son Justin is a redshirt junior defensive back on the UCLA football team. He has played in just a handful of games in his three years with the team.
No one was seriously injured and campus police are investigating.While officials did not identify the victim of the assaut, it has been reported that he was a football coach.
"This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved," a university spokesman said. "While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time."
Combs' representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
