NYSC DG wants killers of corps member brought to book!

NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi has called on security agencies in Kwara to unveil the killers of a serving corps member, Miss Yetunde Idowu. Olawumi made the call on Monday in Ilorin when a delegation of NYSC officials visited Director of the State Security Service, Commissioner of Police and Emir of Ilorin on the death of the corps member.

“The DG has delegated us to come to Ilorin and discuss with security agencies and traditional institutions to unveil the circumstances surrounding the death of the corps members,” Ahile said.
Represented by the director, Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, NYSC Headquarters, Mr Michael Ahile, the DG also appealed to security agents to fish out the killers and bring them to book.
Idowu, 27, who was until her death doing her primary assignment at Radio Kwara, Ilorin, was killed by unknown assailant on May 23. An indigene of Ayetoro in Ogun, she graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnics with HND Management. Mr Ahile said NYSC management received the death of the corps member with heavy heart, particularly the circumstances surrounding her death.
